Who is responsible
BFY Digital Bilgi Tek. Ltd. Şti., operating as BFY Games, Kadıköy, İstanbul, Türkiye, is responsible for the personal data it processes for Chain of Evidence. For privacy requests, contact [email protected].
Account and purchase information
We process your email address, name and identifier supplied by your chosen sign-in provider, linked accounts, authentication records and sessions. We also store purchase references, amounts, currency, payment status and access rights. These records allow us to sign you in, deliver your purchase, prevent fraud and provide support. We do not store your full payment card details; Paddle handles checkout.
Game data, cookies and local storage
Essential session cookies keep you signed in. Your browser stores preferences, detective profile and investigation progress. Campaign tags from promotional links are kept for the browser session and saved with an order, together with its discount campaign, to measure launch promotions. Gameplay requests and the text you submit are processed to run the investigation. Hosting systems may process IP addresses and request/error logs for security and reliability. These operations support service delivery and our legitimate interest in protecting the service; legal obligations may require keeping transaction records.
Microphone and character responses
Microphone use is optional and requires browser permission. Speech recognition can run on your device or through a browser-provided service, depending on the selected mode and browser; that provider may process audio under its own policy. Recognized text is submitted as your game input. If cloud character responses are enabled, conversation text and relevant game context are sent to the configured AI provider. Do not include sensitive personal information in game dialogue.
Service providers
Google or Apple processes sign-in when you choose it; Brevo sends email sign-in links; Paddle processes payments and related buyer data. Hosting and any enabled AI services process data needed to operate the game. Providers may process data outside Türkiye, subject to their applicable terms and safeguards. Their independent services are also governed by their own privacy policies.
Retention and your rights
We keep account and purchase data as needed to provide access, handle support and disputes, protect the service and meet applicable legal retention obligations. You can request information, correction or deletion of your data, and exercise other rights available under applicable data protection law, by emailing [email protected]. Some records may need to remain for legal reasons. Deleting an account can prevent access to its purchases; we will explain the consequences when handling a request. Browser data can be cleared through your browser settings.
